Hamid Jebelli     
       
 

Born in 1958 in Tehran, Hamid Jebelli has attended the film and theater training courses of the Institute for the Intellectual Development of Children and Young Adults (Kanoon) at 12. He made several 8mm films before starting his professional career as an actor. He is one of most popular actors of the country and a prolific figure in the Iranian cinema, theater and TV programs as actor, director, script-writer, still photographer, puppet-player and dubber. Son of Maryam is his first feature film.
